Yes you read that right! These waffles are made to be highly nutritious through the addition of bone broth. They are also made with raw milk, grass fed butter, pastured raised eggs and einkorn flour. Bone broth is a superfood and a great way to use every part of the animal by incorporating the bones. Every few weeks I will cook a whole chicken or turkey and place the bones in my crockpot to let simmer for over 24 hours. So I am always looking for unique ways to use up the broth. Bone broth is high in collagen which has been shown to help improve the health of your skin, hair, nails and joints as well as your overall gut and immune system functions. I hope you find this as delicious as we do! Let's get baking!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all purpose einkorn flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 3/4 cups bone broth

  • 3/4 cups raw milk

  • 4 tbsp melted butter

  • 1 egg

  • 1 and 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk the bone broth, raw milk, butter, egg and vanilla.

  3. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes. Einkorn flour absorbs liquid slowly.

  4. Use your waffle maker to bake until crispy. Enjoy!
